Here’s a little more about me:
I sang my first solo when I was 4 years old at a small church in rural Minnesota. I’ve sung for weddings, funerals and special events throughout my career. I made appearances throughout Minnesota, singing the National Anthem at venues like the Target Center-and Disney tunes, accompanying bands and orchestras throughout the region. Since relocating to Los Angeles, I’ve been a featured vocalist at renowned LA clubs like The Dresden, Molly Malone’s Irish Pub and Hotel Cafe. I’ve collaborated with several renowned LA-based music producers and musicians in recording a variety of multi-genre cover hits as well as my own original songs. I’ve worked with a number of professionals artists including Linda Perry, a singer songwriter and producer. As a songwriter, I’m an active participant in many professional songwriter groups and a member of the Nashville Songwriters Association International.
As a certified YAMAHA music instructor, I have the latest techniques to accelerate you musically on the piano.
As a former Kindergarten teacher and choir director, I know how to motivate musicians & singers from beginner to advanced to dramatically increase their musical abilities.
My Story
I started studying voice before I could read and began studying piano in grade school which continued through college. I am a classically trained vocalist & pianist with a Bachelors in Music. In addition, I received classical/opera training for 5 years prior to college. As a professional singer songwriter and voice actor, I’m constantly increasing and strengthening my own skills, studying with coaches and instructors in voice, songwriting, and personal development.
Throughout my professional music career, I have learned to develop a laser focus, where I know how to get in the zone. I have the ability to separate my emotions from the job at hand which has allowed me to capture audiences. This is something I love to help singers & keyboardists discover and develop.
Above all, I know that in order to maximize your growth, you need support and encouragement in order to motivate you to grow and accelerate your growth. This is one of the things that distinguishes me as a vocal coach and music instructor.
