Welcome to Briana Lyn Studios! I’m thrilled to guide you or your child on this musical journey. Please read the following policies carefully. They are designed to create clarity, support, and consistency in your experience.

GENERAL POLICIES
Calendar & Studio Breaks:
Studio holidays and breaks will be outlined in the lesson calendar. These breaks have already been factored into the tuition rate.
Photo & Video Release:
Briana Lyn Studios may use photos, videos, or audio clips of students for social media and promotional purposes. If you prefer to opt out, please send your request in writing to info@brianalynstudios.com.
Policy & Rate Changes:
Studio policies and tuition rates are subject to change. Families will be notified in advance of any adjustments. Modest annual increases may occur to account for rising costs and continued program development.
Referrals:
We love referrals! Families who refer a new student will receive a $50 tuition credit once that student completes their first month of lessons. (Referrals must be outside your immediate household.)
Respect & Safety:
The instructor reserves the right to end a lesson without refund if a student or family member displays disrespectful or disruptive behavior. Please ensure that the lesson environment is clean, safe, and distraction-free. A parent or guardian must be present in the home during in-person lessons for students under age 10. If no adult will be home, please notify the studio in advance.
PHILOSOPHY OF TEACHING
Each student receives a customized lesson plan tailored to their unique needs and goals. Whether you’re seeking personal growth or professional development, I strive to make music engaging, enriching, and fun for all ages and levels.
Program Options & Rates
Voice & Keyboard Lessons Offered:
• 30-Minute Weekly Lessons: $340/month or $3,900/year
• 60-Minute Weekly Lessons: $550/month or $6,400/year
• Drop-in Classes: $95 for 30 minutes / $165 for 60 minutes

• Personalized technique and music theory training
• Daily exercises and goal tracking
• Vocal exercises and warm-ups (for vocal students only)
• Piano sheet music and resources (for piano students only)
• Vocal and piano educational guides, documents, and practice resources (for all students)
Tuition & Payment
Flat Rate Tuition:
Monthly tuition remains the same regardless of how many lessons occur in a given month. Tuition secures your reserved weekly time slot on the studio schedule and includes all learning opportunities such as recitals and resources provided.
There are no refunds or credits for missed lessons of any kind, and makeup lessons are not guaranteed. Tuition may be prorated only in the event of instructor cancellation and only if a makeup cannot be arranged.
Payment:
Invoices are sent on the 1st of each month and payment is due immediately upon receipt. All families are enrolled in monthly autopay using a credit, debit, or ACH account. A $30 late fee is applied to any declined or unpaid payment after a 5-day grace period. Lessons will be suspended if payment is not received within 7 days. Repeated late payments may result in dismissal from the studio.
Attendance & Absences
Attendance:
Each student is assigned a designated weekly time slot. Tuition reserves this time and remains consistent regardless of attendance. We understand occasional absences may occur due to illness, emergencies, or scheduling conflicts. These have been factored into the tuition structure, and no refunds or credits will be issued for missed lessons.
Illness:
Lessons must be rescheduled if any member of the household is ill. If a student stays home from school or work, they may not attend an in-person lesson. Please notify the studio by 10am on the day of your lesson to be eligible for a makeup. The instructor reserves the right to cancel a lesson without rescheduling if anyone in the home appears to be unwell upon arrival.
Schedule Changes:
We will do our best to accommodate schedule changes, but changes to day/time slots cannot be guaranteed. Please prioritize your weekly lesson time when scheduling other activities or appointments.
Tardiness:
If a student is more than one-third of their scheduled lesson time late, the lesson may be considered forfeited. Instructors will make every effort to arrive on time, and if travel delays occur, the full lesson time will still be honored.
Student & Family Expectations
Practice & Preparation:
To ensure meaningful progress, students are expected to practice at least five times per week and come prepared with all necessary materials. Parents are encouraged to support consistent practice and engagement at home.
Lesson Behavior:
A respectful attitude and willingness to participate are required. If a student consistently shows disrespect or disinterest, lessons may be paused or discontinued at the instructor’s discretion.
Family Support:
We strongly encourage parents to listen to practice during the week and create a supportive space for musical growth. This shared enthusiasm reinforces learning and accountability.
Recitals
Recital Opportunities:
Students will be invited to participate in studio recitals held twice per year — typically in the fall and spring. Recitals are an exciting way to share progress and build confidence. All enrolled students are encouraged to participate.
Cancellation Policy
Lesson Discontinuation:
A minimum of 30 days’ written notice is required to discontinue lessons. Notice must be provided by the 5th of the month to avoid being charged for the following month. No tuition refunds will be issued for early withdrawal. Once lessons are paused or ended, time slots are released and may not be held.
Returning students are welcome to re-enroll if space is available, and they will be charged at the current tuition rate.
